If you have a spare engine sitting on a used tire in your garage, and taking up a lot of valuable real estate, and wife complains about it, then this blog post is for you.
Why not store the engine standing upright on a furniture dolly…it doesn’t take up a lot of real estate, it is easily movable, and it is easy & cheap to do.
You can make a crate, using a 6″ x 1″ x 8′ wood (or 6×2 or whatever), and cut it in two x 18″ and two x 30″. On one of the 30″ pieces, you will have to notch out a section to clear the oil pump. Using 2″ screws, assemble them into a # shape. Put that on a furniture dolly, sit the engine upright on it, and voi-la. Your wife will thank you.
